Maha: Forensic probe underway following Actress Jariwala's untimely demise

Mumbai, June 28 (UNI) Following the sudden death of 42-year-old actress Shefali Jariwala late last night suspected due to cardiac arrest, the city police have initiated a formal investigation into the matter by deploying a team of forensic experts to her Andheri residence in the 'Golden Rise' building today.
Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital late last night after she complained of chest pain, where doctors pronounced her dead. While initial reports suggest cardiac arrest, authorities have not confirmed the cause of death. Her unexpected death has sent a shockwave in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, the actress' body has been transferred to Cooper Hospital for postmortem examination.
In an official statement issued here, police emphasised the cause of her death remains undetermined, pending investigation and autopsy results.
According to officials, Jariwala resided at the Andheri address with her husband, Parag Tyagi.
Family members, including her husband, transported her to the hospital in a vehicle described by the building's security guard as departing "at high speed at around 10-10:15 PM under apparent emergency conditions."
The guard noted the vehicle's tinted windows obscured visibility but confirmed seeing Jariwala walking with her husband earlier that evening, stating she "appeared healthy" at the time.
Born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on December 15, 1982, Jariwala rose to fame with the iconic song, 'Kaanta Laga'. Her career spanned music videos, films and television, including participation in 'Nach Baliye' with husband Parag Tyagi (married 2015), and 'Bigg Boss 13'. She was previously married to musician Harmeet Singh from 2004 to 2009.
Police have confirmed that investigation into her death is ongoing, examining all potential angles.
