Maha: OBC leader Waghmare demands ED probe, narco tests for Jarange & Shinde over alleged Rs 500 crore deal row

Mumbai, Oct 24 (UNI) OBC leader Navnath Waghmare today demanded an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into an alleged Rs 500 crore transaction involving Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and narco-analysis tests for both Jarange and Shinde to establish the truth behind the allegations.
Launching a sharp attack on Shinde, Waghmare accused the Deputy CM of having supported a movement that has now allegedly turned against him. Taking a dig at Shinde, he said.
“The poisonous snake that was fed milk is now biting Shinde himself. Jarange's agitation has become a business,” Waghmare alleged, making serious accusations against the Maratha reservation activist.
Referring to recent remarks by Ramdas Kadam's son, who reportedly said there was nothing wrong with the allegations, Waghmare said OBC leaders had been raising concerns about the issue for the past three years.
"We have been saying this for the last three years. It is good that they have realised it, even if belatedly. It was only after the snake bit them that they understood what was happening," Waghmare said, reiterating his criticism of Shinde and the developments surrounding the controversy.
Waghmare's remarks have added another dimension to the escalating political dispute over the alleged Rs 500 crore transaction. His demands for an ED investigation and narco-analysis tests have brought the issue back into the political spotlight.
