Maha: Shegaon Sansthan donates Rs 1.11 crore for drought relief

Buldhana, Sep 27 (UNI) Demonstrating its commitment to social welfare alongside religious activities, the Shegaon-based Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan on Sunday contributed Rs 1.11 crore towards drought relief efforts in Maharashtra.
The donation has been made to assist people affected by the prevailing drought conditions in various parts of the state.
The Sansthan, known for its philanthropic initiatives, has consistently extended support during natural calamities and humanitarian crises.
The decision was taken by the temple trust in response to the severe drought-like conditions affecting farmers in many districts .
The contribution is intended to assist the state government's relief and rehabilitation measures for drought-hit communities.
The Sansthan, one of the largest and most prominent religious trusts in Vidarbha, has a long record of undertaking social welfare and humanitarian initiatives in areas such as healthcare, education and disaster relief.
Maharashtra has been witnessing widespread crop damage due to inadequate rainfall, particularly affecting soybean, cotton, maize and other major crops, prompting demands for extensive relief measures for farmers.
