Chandrapur, Oct 17 (UNI): A 45-year-old woman was killed in a tiger attack in the Palasgaon forest area of Chimur taluka in Chandrapur district, within the buffer zone of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, officials said on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Usha Ankush Gurnule. The incident took place in the presence of her husband, triggering panic and anger among local villagers.
According to information, Usha had gone with her husband to their agricultural field near the forest to irrigate their paddy crop on Friday.

Officials conducted a panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
The incident has sparked fear among residents of Palasgaon and neighbouring areas, particularly farmers and agricultural labourers working in fields adjoining the forest.
