Maharashtra Congress to hold divisional meetings of newly appointed Office-Bearers

Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will hold divisional meetings of newly appointed Lok Sabha, Assembly and district in-charges, along with district presidents, to review and strengthen the party's organisational structure in the state.
The meeting for the Konkan division will be held at Tilak Bhavan in Dadar, Mumbai, on November 4, while the meeting for the North Maharashtra division is scheduled to take place in Nashik on November 5.
Dates for meetings in other divisions will be announced later, the state Congress said.
The MPCC has recently appointed several office-bearers as Lok Sabha, Assembly and district in-charges. The party will soon communicate the expected responsibilities and work guidelines, or standard operating procedures (SOPs), to each appointee.
The performance of all in-charges will be reviewed after three months. Based on an assessment of their work, changes may be made to the list of in-charges, the party said.
The meetings are part of a planned initiative to strengthen the Congress organisation across Maharashtra. In-charge Dr Sirivella Prasad and state Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal have prepared a plan to improve the party's organisational functioning, according to the MPCC. UNI SP CDS
