Maharashtra's first agricultural e-field library on AI technology launched

Ratnagiri, July 1 ( UNI) The first Artificial Intelligence-powered agricultural e-library in Maharashtra has been launched at Sharadchandraji Pawar College of Agriculture, Kharvate-Dahivali.
The web portal of the library was inaugurated in the presence of Chiplun Sangameshwar MLA Shekhar Nikam and the college's principal Dr Sunitkumar Patil today.

With a single click, the platform aims to provide detailed information about crops, ornamental plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables to students through mobile phones. The experiment was carried out through the concept of Prof Prashant Pawar and first-year students after three months of work.
Farmers, tourists and agricultural experts visiting the college will be able to easily identify trees and crops through this library. This includes information on the scientific name of crops, diseases and pests affecting them, and their management,
A QR code has been placed near all the trees in the college premises. In the future, Prof. Prashant Pawar and students intend to implement this initiative on the 350 acres of the college.
Legislator AM Shekhar Nikam praised and congratulated Prof Pawar and students. "We are also trying to start an AI Technology Centre in Sharad Chandraji Pawar Agricultural College soon. By joining hands with some international organizations in this field, we will establish the only research centre in Konkan soon", said Prof Pawar.
