Manipur tense amid combing operations by combined forces; journalist injured

Imphal, June 7 (UNI) Manipur was tense on Saturday evening as security personnel resorted to firing as protests broke out during their combing operations in the city areas to apprehend leaders of some organisations. A journalist was injured.
People came out on the streets to protest the operation carried out by the combined forces to apprehend some leaders of some organisations.
To control the situation security personnel resorted to firing. A journalist covering the incident was injured.
Large numbers of security personnel are out in the city areas.
