Imphal, June 8 (UNI) Arambai Tenggol, a socio-cultural organisation, has announced a 10-day bandh in Manipur from Sunday to protest against the arrest of their leader Kanan, and four others by central security agencies.

The arrest witnessed violent protests and so far around five vehicles, including those belonging to the security personnel, have been burnt by the protestors.

Ten persons have been injured in clashes between security personnel and protestors. One journalist also sustained injury.

To control the situation, the state government has banned internet for five days and imposed indefinite curfew.
