Minister Vaishnaw visits Juinagar Yard, inspects trials of new sensor-based safety systems

Pune, May 3 (UNI) Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday conducted an inspection of the Juinagar Yard and reviewed the trials of advanced sensor-enabled systems aimed at enhancing operational safety.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed the Sensor-Enabled Point Position Detection System, which uses inductive proximity sensors to monitor the alignment of tongue rails with respect to stock rails.
This innovative system continuously compares the physical position of the points at the site with the data from the interlocking system. In the event of any discrepancy, it immediately generates an alarm indicating a mismatched point position.
Additionally, a trial of the Signal Aspect Feedback System has also been implemented, which uses wavelength detection RBG sensors to verify the actual illuminated aspect of LED signals.
Both the Point Position Detection System and the Signal Aspect Feedback System have been installed on all points and signals at Juinagar Yard on a trial basis.
