Mother and son electrocuted in Saran

Chhapra, Sept 24 (UNI) A woman and her 11-year-old son died after coming into contact with a live electric wire in the Derani police station area of Saran district.
Police said here on Thursday that Rinku Devi (36), wife of Satya Prakash Singh and a resident of Khajauli village, was walking to the fields with her son Rahul Kumar (11) when they came into contact with a severed electric wire being used to power a water pump. Both fell unconscious at the spot.
Family members rushed them to the Parsa Primary Health Centre, where doctors declared them dead.
The bodies were sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the family, and police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
