Motorcycle enters VP's convoy route in Kerala: Two arrested

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Two youths were arrested after allegedly riding a motorcycle into the route of Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan’s convoy at Kovalam here, causing a security breach, police said.
The arrested were identified as Ashkar and Nadirsha, natives of Vallakkadavu in Thiruvananthapuram.
The incident occurred on Sunday when the Vice-President was returning to the airport after attending an official programme at Balaramapuram.
According to police, the motorcycle came from the Thiruvallam side and entered the route of the Vice-President’s convoy at Kovalam Junction. Security personnel attempted to stop the motorcycle but could not do so.
Following information from the security personnel, police intercepted the motorcycle at Kanjiramkulam and took the two youths into custody.
Police said both were under the influence of alcohol when they were apprehended.
The incident is being investigated as a security breach involving the Vice-President’s convoy.
