MP Chamala accuses BJP of spreading false propaganda against Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) Bhongir Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday accused the BJP of spreading false propaganda against Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over an alleged incident involving Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Rahul Gandhi’s security personnel.
In a video statement, Chamala said Rahul Gandhi was receiving an encouraging public response to his ‘Janahita Yatra’ and alleged that the BJP was resorting to malicious propaganda as it was unable to digest the growing support for the Congress leader.
He said Rahul Gandhi had highlighted the alleged misuse of the Election Commission of India by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He also noted that Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states and key leaders of the INDIA bloc had participated in Rahul Gandhi’s rally.
Chamala said Rahul Gandhi preferred to walk alongside ordinary party workers, while security personnel were primarily concerned with ensuring his safety. He urged the Karnataka BJP and its social media wing to refrain from what he termed cheap politics and false allegations.
