Mumbai Rains: IMD issues yellow alert; traffic snarls & train delays reported

Mumbai June 19 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, warning of potential weather-related disruptions.

According to the forecast, the city will experience a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places throughout the day.

Citizens have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions due to the risk of localised flooding and traffic disruptions.

Meanwhile the city witnessed intense rainfall this morning following heavy overnight showers that continued to drench the city and its suburbs.

Areas like Kurla, Lalbaug, Byculla, CSMT and Nariman Point reported consistent downpours with gusty winds, leading to water accumulation and traffic slowdowns in several parts of the city.
