BIADA allots 9.14 acres of industrial land to 12 industrial units

Patna, Oct 3 (UNI) Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has allotted 9.14 acres of industrial land to 12 industrial units that are proposed to be established at an investment of Rs 132.60 crore and expected to generate around 2,500 employment opportunities.
The Project Clearance Committee (PCC) meeting of BIADA held under the chairmanship of its Managing Director Naveen Kumar, approved the allotment. The meeting also deliberated on various proposals related to the establishment of industrial units and promotion of investment in the state.
The approved industrial units are proposed to be established across Patna, Buxar, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Madhubani, Aurangabad and Saharsa. Proposals related to Plug and Play facilities were also approved during the meeting. These facilities will provide investors with ready industrial infrastructure, enabling the faster establishment and commencement of operations of industrial units.
Bihar Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said here today that the new industrial projects being approved in the state are giving a new direction to industrial and technological development.
She said that these projects will create employment and skill-based opportunities for the youth of the state. She further said that the Government of Bihar is continuously working to create a conducive environment for investors and establish the state as a modern industrial and manufacturing hub.
Naveen Kumar, Managing Director, BIADA, said that the state government remains committed to balanced and comprehensive industrial development. He said that BIADA is making industrial plots available to investors through a transparent and time-bound process.
He further stated that a conducive environment for investors is being ensured through robust infrastructure, better connectivity, simplified processes and policy support, enabling the timely and effective implementation of projects.
He added that this initiative will play an important role in establishing Bihar as an emerging industrial destination for investment.
He said the approved projects are expected to provide further momentum to industrial investment in the state, expand its industrial base and create new employment opportunities. Through the availability of industrial land and essential infrastructure, BIADA continues to facilitate an enabling environment for the establishment of industries across Bihar.
