Jharkhand: Gangster Prince Khan’s brother held in Kolkata

Dhanbad, Sep 14 (UNI) Dhanbad Police arrested Bunty Khan, brother of absconding gangster Prince Khan, in Kolkata and recovered documents indicating he may have been preparing to flee abroad, officials said on Monday.
Dhanbad SSP Prabhat Kumar said Bunty had provided information about several persons and hideouts that were not previously on the police radar. Police were taking him to locations identified during interrogation for verification and further action.
The accused was brought to Dhanbad and questioned at Bank More police station. Police said further interrogation would be conducted after obtaining his remand.

Odisha: 12 get life imprisonment for killing man, son over witchcraft suspicion

Bhubaneswar, Sep 17 (UNI) A court in Odisha’s Gajapati district on Thursday sentenced 12 people to life imprisonment for murdering a man and his son five years ago on suspicion that they practised witchcraft, police said.
Additional Sessions Judge, Paralakhemundi, H P Pattanaik convicted all 12 accused in the double murder case and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
