Man injured after shots fired near Tripura border

Agartala, Oct 5 (UNI) A shooting incident in the Gandachhera border area of Tripura's Dhalai district on Sunday evening has raised alarm after a man sustained serious gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Kunj Mohan Tripura, was found with bullet injuries near the border and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police have not yet confirmed whether it was a targeted attack or whether other factors were involved. The identity of those responsible is also yet to be established.
Following the incident, police reached the scene and launched a preliminary investigation. They are examining the circumstances of the shooting and gathering information from local residents and other possible sources.
The incident has caused concern in the border area, and police are continuing their investigation to ascertain the motive and identify those involved. More details are expected as the investigation progresses.
