Haldia gets Rs 6,000-crore chemical complex, Bengal CM promises industrial revival

Haldia, Oct 14 (UNI) Seeking to turn West Bengal into an industrial destination, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday unveiled a Rs 6,000-crore phenol and acetone complex at Haldia, declaring an end to the country’s dependence on imports of the two industrial chemicals and promising a fresh investment push backed by a new industrial policy before Diwali.
