Bihar CM directs officials to resolve public grievances promptly

Patna, Oct 13 (UNI): Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday directed officials to ensure fair, transparent and time-bound resolution of public grievances, saying the Sahayog Programme aims to provide prompt relief to citizens and improve public satisfaction.
The Chief Minister attended the State-Level Sahayog Programme at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. A total of 101 applicants attended the programme, and their cases were taken up for resolution.
Applicants from various parts of Bihar presented their grievances directly before the Chief Minister. The complaints pertained to several departments, including Revenue and Land Reforms, Education, Home, Rural Works, Health, Social Welfare, Urban Development and Housing, and Energy.
Taking cognisance of the complaints, Choudhary directed the concerned district magistrates and departmental officials to resolve the applicants’ problems within the stipulated time frame. Following his instructions, the officials assured the applicants that appropriate action would be taken to address their grievances promptly.
During the programme, the Chief Minister directed all district magistrates to complete repair, maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep work in rural government buildings, hospitals, school buildings, Anganwadi centres, health institutions and roads connecting previously unconnected habitations before March 31, 2027, under the Seva Sankalp and Kayakalp Abhiyan.
He emphasised that schools must be provided with essential facilities, including fresh paint, boundary walls, repaired infrastructure, toilets, drinking water and electricity. He also called for expediting the construction of additional classrooms, buildings for schools operating without proper infrastructure, and new Anganwadi centres wherever required.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to continue resolving public complaints within prescribed deadlines to ensure immediate relief to citizens. He said the growing public confidence in the Sahayog Programme must be maintained through prompt action, sensitivity and accountability. “Resolving people’s problems with sensitivity and urgency and ensuring justice for them is our responsibility,” Choudhary said, stressing that all officials and employees must extend full cooperation in processing applications.
He reiterated that the government’s objective was to ensure a transparent, impartial and time-bound mechanism for addressing every citizen’s grievances. The Sahayog Programme, he said, was intended to resolve public complaints effectively and ensure people’s satisfaction with the administrative system.
