Congress flays Manjhi and Chirag for their silence on rape victim death

Patna, June 3 (UNI) Congress on Tuesday flayed Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Jeetan Ram Manjhi for their silence on death of a minor Dalit girl after her rape and negligence in treatment.
President of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) Rajesh Ram told media persons here that Manjhi and Chirag claimed to be leaders of the Dalit community. Both the leaders were pursuing their political career on Dalit votes, and on their strength, they were Ministers in the Narendra Modi government, he added.
" It is shameful to note that neither Chirag nor Manjhi not even expressed their words of solace for the family members of victims ", Ram said adding that Congress continued its struggle to ensure treatment of the rape victim but due to negligence of the government, she died during treatment in Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) in Patna on Sunday.
