Crab catcher rescued after crocodile attack inside Bhitarkanika forest

Kendrapada, Sep 28 (UNI) A sexagenarian man was seriously injured after an estuarine crocodile attacked him while he was catching crabs inside the forest of Bhitarkanika National Park in Rajnagar area of Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Monday.
The victim, identified as Madan Behera of Bankual village, was catching crabs when the crocodile suddenly pounced on him and caught his right leg.
Behera raised an alarm and screamed for help. Hearing his cries, more than 10 forest personnel who were passing through the area rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
