Tanishaa Mukerji to return to big screen after 5 years

Mumbai, Oct 2 (UNI) Tanishaa Mukerji is making her return to the big screen after nearly five years with filmmaker Kapil Kaustubh Sharma’s "Zindagi Phir Bhi Khoobsurat Hai".
Following the success of "The Margao Files", Sharma is now returning with a story set in Mumbai's Parsi community. The film travels from the 1990s to 2025 and features a blend of romance, comedy, and human emotions.
In the film, Mukherji's character goes through various stages of life.
According to the director, the 48-year-old actor's emotional depth was ideal for the role. He said the film is personal to him and explores relationships, changing times, and the beauty of everyday life.
The film was shot in real Parsi homes in South Mumbai and the Dadar Parsi Colony. To ensure the film's authenticity, Sharma also worked closely with members of the Parsi community to bring their culture, mannerisms, and dialect to life naturally.
Sharma has written and directed the film, produced it, and also stars in it, undergoing physical transformation to portray the character of a Parsi man at different ages.
The title of "Zindagi Phir Bhi Khoobsurat Hai" is inspired by the popular song from the 1978 film "Khatta Meetha". Kapil explained that it was through this film that he got his first cinematic glimpse of Parsi life and culture as a child.
Apart from Mukerji, the film also stars Sushmita Mukerji, Kitu Gidwani, Parveen Dastur, Delnaaz Irani, Tanaaz Irani, Shah Rukh Siras Irani, Dolly Thakore and Ananya Dutta in pivotal roles.
There are also plans to take the film to international film festivals before releasing it in theatres. UNI NST SS
