PM Modi to mark UPSC's 100 years with commemorative coin, stamp on Oct 1

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday mark the centenary of the union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, releasing a commemorative coin, stamp and a book documenting landmark judicial decisions that have shaped the functioning of the UPSC and State Public Service Commissions.
Modi will participate in the centenary celebrations at 11 am and address the gathering, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The book to be released on the occasion is titled 100 Landmark Judgements—Shaping the Policies of UPSC and Public Service Commissions in India.
The programme will mark the culmination of year-long celebrations that began on October 1, 2025, commemorating 100 years since the establishment of the UPSC in 1926. The event will bring together a wide range of stakeholders associated with public service recruitment and administration, including chairmen and members of State Public Service Commissions, senior Government of India officials, academicians and UPSC officials.
