Delhi BJP women wing stage protest demanding Congress Akoijam’s expulsion over alleged sexual harassment matter

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) The Delhi BJP women's wing on Saturday staged a protest demanding the arrest and expulsion from the Congress of party MP Prof. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, who is accused of sexual harassment of female students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
A large number of Mahila Morcha workers led by Sangeeta Yadav and Yogita Singh had gathered near Laxmi Nagar Metro Station in East Delhi, raising slogans.
As soon as they began marching towards the Congress headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, police detained them after they had walked only a short distance. They were taken to the Shakarpur Police Station.
