Army jawan killed, six injured as Bolero hits tree in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Oct 24 (UNI) An Army jawan was killed and six others were injured when their Bolero crashed into a tree near Gatti Palna turn in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district.
The accident occurred around 10 pm on Friday under Farasgaon police station limits as the occupants were heading to a programme in Pandeyathgaon village.
The deceased was identified as Sundarlal Netam, a resident of Shampur Palli village. Another Army jawan, Manish Netam, sustained serious injuries, while one of the other injured was reported to be in critical condition and was referred to the district hospital late at night.
The seven occupants were travelling in their private vehicle when the driver reportedly lost control near the turn. The Bolero rammed into a tree, leaving all those on board injured and prompting a rescue response.
Police have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
