Saini expands Rs 2,100 monthly aid for Haryana women, highlights jobs and farm support

Panchkula, Sep 20 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday placed women’s financial support at the centre of his government’s welfare push, highlighting the expansion of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana to families earning up to Rs 1.80 lakh annually, while also citing government recruitment, farm procurement and compensation measures during a public programme in his Ladwa Assembly constituency.
Under the expanded scheme, eligible women will receive Rs 2,100 every month. The income ceiling, earlier fixed at Rs 1 lakh annually, was raised to Rs 1.80 lakh under the second phase launched on September 17. The government estimates that the expansion will bring around 17 lakh additional women under the scheme.
More than 10 lakh women from families earning up to Rs 1 lakh annually were already covered under the first phase. On September 10, the government released Rs 212.16 crore as the 11th instalment to 10.10 lakh beneficiaries, taking total disbursement under the scheme to Rs 2,254.47 crore, according to official figures.
