Haryana: Governor announces Rs 10-lakh grant for ex-servicemen, says soldiers’ families must not be forgotten

Panchkula, Sep 13 (UNI) Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh today announced a Rs 10-lakh grant for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their dependents, saying the country owed not only remembrance but sustained support to soldiers and the families they leave behind.
Honouring Veer Naris at a function in Panchkula, Ghosh said caring for the families of fallen soldiers and ensuring dignity and rehabilitation for veterans was a responsibility shared by the government and society.
“The sacrifices of soldiers, ex-servicemen, veterans and Veer Naris must never be forgotten. Their families must receive the respect, care and support they truly deserve,” he said.

Under ‘Visit My State’, UP trains local hosts to strengthen Homestay Tourism

Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh is strengthening the homestay network at the heart of its ‘Visit My State’ campaign, preparing local hosts to turn rural hospitality, cuisine, crafts and traditions into professionally managed visitor experiences.
Thirty one homestay operators from 14 districts completed a five day training programme at the Manyawar Kanshiram Institute of Tourism Management in Lucknow on Saturday.

Govt medical colleges in Himachal to get specialised Centres of Excellence
