Panchkula administration steps up preparations for Census 2027, trains officials for second phase

Panchkula, Oct 15 (UNI) The Panchkula district administration has intensified preparations for Census 2027, organising a training programme for officials, employees and technical assistants involved in the second phase of the exercise.
The training session was held at the PWD Rest House in Sector 1 under the chairpersonship of City Magistrate Jagriti. She directed the participants to take the training seriously and ensure that the nationally significant exercise was conducted with full responsibility, accuracy and transparency.
Deputy District Census Officer and District Statistical Officer Sunil Jakhar said additional enumerators and supervisors would be appointed to ensure the smooth conduct of the census. He added that the necessary preparations for the appointments had been completed.
Senior Adviser to the Directorate of Census Operations Vinay Sharma and District Census Coordinator Madhu are imparting the training.
The programme focuses on census procedures, official guidelines and the accurate collection of data to ensure systematic and effective implementation.
Tehsildar Panchkula Suresh, Naib Tehsildars Hardev Nehra and Pradyuman, and Charge Officer for the Panchkula and Kalka municipal councils Abhay Singh, along with other officials and employees, attended the programme.
