Haryana: Nuh Police act against cyber fraud and drugs: 2 cyber fraud suspects, heroin peddler arrested

Nuh, Oct 26 (UNI) The Nuh district police have taken action on two fronts, arresting two accused in separate cyber fraud cases and a peddler carrying 262 grams of heroin under the anti-drug campaign.
The Cyber Crime police station is monitoring suspicious activity based on technical inputs and complaints on the Cyber Crime Portal.
Mobile phones and SIM cards were recovered from both the accused, and preliminary examination of the phones revealed digital evidence linked to suspicious cyber activity. Separate cases have been registered against them at the Nuh Cyber police station.
In the first case, police in the Pinangwan area learned that Arbaaz, a resident of the village Bubalheri, was committing cyber fraud using a fake identity and a mobile phone.
A team raided a house in the fields and caught him, along with the recovery of a mobile phone with a SIM card. It showed a WhatsApp Business profile named "Sharma Electronic Scooty" and a Facebook account named "Deepak Sharma". The gallery held suspicious messages about electric scooty sales and photos of QR codes. Two complaints on the Cyber Crime Portal were found against the number, involving Rs 50,599 and Rs 17,600.
In the second case, police learned that Aafaq Khan, a resident of the village Hirwadi, was involved in cyber fraud via mobile phone. He was caught on the road from Hirwadi to Hajibas.
The phone recovered from him had two SIM cards, and an online complaint from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, was registered against one number on the portal. The phone also contained a Facebook account, several suspicious photos and videos, screen recordings of video calls, and screenshots of WhatsApp chats.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Tawdu arrested Jagmal, son of Fateh Mohammad, a resident of Shikarpur under Sadar Tawdu police station, with 262 grams of heroin. A motorcycle was also recovered.
On Saturday evening at around 6:30 pm, SI Vijaypal and his team were on patrol at Lakhpat Chowk in Tawdu town when they received information that Jagmal was standing on a motorcycle behind the shops beyond Pataudi Chowk, waiting to sell heroin to retail customers.
On seeing the police, he tried to flee but was overpowered. A search as per procedure recovered the heroin, wrapped in polythene, from the right pocket of his trousers.
In preliminary questioning, he said he had bought it from Sewal, son of Rafiq, a resident of Bawla under Sadar Tawdu police station. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Tawdu City police station.
