Haryana Police issues 4,339 challans in Gurugram drive against seat-belt violations

Panchkula, Sep 11 (UNI) Haryana Police have intensified road safety enforcement in Gurugram, issuing 4,339 challans during a month-long campaign targeting motorists travelling without seat belts, a spokesperson said on Friday.
The Gurugram Traffic Police conducted the drive from August 1 to August 31, 2026, to reduce seat-belt violations and encourage safer driving. The challans totalled Rs 43.39 lakh in penalties, according to the spokesperson.
The spokesperson stated that the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in Gurugram and reduce accidents by enforcing traffic rules more strictly.
