AICC appoints Sanjeev Gandhi as HPCC State Spokesperson

Dharamshala, Sep 15 (UNI) The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed senior Congress leader Sanjeev Gandhi as State Spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced by Pawan Khera, Member of the Congress Working Committee and Chairman of the Congress Media and Publicity Department.
Gandhi has been associated with the Indian National Congress for over 45 years. He began his political journey with the NSUI during his student days at Government College, Dharamshala, and Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
During his studies at Summer Hill, Shimla, he remained actively involved in student politics and was elected Secretary of the Students’ Council, the university’s highest elected student body.
Over the years, Gandhi has served the Congress organisation in various capacities and handled several assignments, particularly in media, publicity and organisational strengthening.
After his appointment, Gandhi said he would work with greater commitment to strengthen the Congress organisation in Himachal Pradesh.
He said his focus would also be on effectively communicating the developmental initiatives and achievements of the Congress-led state government and creating greater awareness among the people.
He expressed confidence that the collective efforts of the party organisation and its leadership would further strengthen the Congress’s connect with the people and help the party return to power in Himachal Pradesh.
Gandhi thanked the Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Pawan Khera, besides Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, HPCC president Vinay Kumar and the state Congress leadership for reposing faith in him.
He assured the party leadership that he would discharge his responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and utmost commitment.
