BJP honours grassroots workers, taunts SP's 'PDA': BJP MLA

Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) Amidst the nomination of eight BJP candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP), saying that the BJP has honoured its grassroots workers by giving them the opportunity to enter the Rajya Sabha.
The party's MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi expressed his gratitude to the party leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Navin, union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary.
He said that as a BJP worker, he is proud that those who have worked behind the scenes for the organisation and the public for years also get opportunities.
He said that BJP workers are confident that even if they work quietly for the organisation, the party recognises their hard work and contributions. He cited the candidates announced for the Rajya Sabha as an example of this thinking.
Attacking the Samajwadi Party, Tripathi also questioned its "PDA" slogan. He said that the SP talks about "PDA," but its political connotations can be linked to nepotism, money power, and crime.
He alleged that Mukhtar Ansari, Atiq Ahmed, Professor Ram Gopal Yadav, and Nathwani can be named as Akhilesh Yadav's "brand ambassadors."
In contrast, he listed Prakash Pal, Dharampal Singh, Radhakant Ojha, Gopi Krishna Pandey, Priyanka Singh Rawat, and Vidyasagar Sonkar as the BJP's "brand ambassadors."
Tripathi said that the difference in the politics and working styles of the two parties is clear to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that the BJP's giving grassroots workers opportunities for Rajya Sabha elections reflects the importance of workers in the organisation and will boost the morale of ordinary party workers.
