Amit Shah says Congress regimes intentionally failed to construct roads in Uttarakhand for fear of Chinese incursion

Prithviraj Singh
Dehradun, Nov 6 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday alleged that Congress party regimes intentionally avoided construction of roads and other infrastructural works in Uttarakhand for fear of Chinese incursions. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has developed border villages to ensure no enemy dare touch the Indian side now and those who did were hunted down in their homes.
Addressing a function in Dehradun to mark the beginning of the state’s foundation day celebrations, Amit Shah alleged that past Congress-led governments in the state and the Centre deliberately kept the international border areas aloof from developments for fear of Chinese incursions.
Shah said “They did not construct roads in the state. They used to say construction of roads will make way for Chinese incursions. We have constructed roads and the Modi government has brought up the nation so strong that no one dares touch Indian borders anymore. And those who did were wiped out by hunting them down in their homes through surgical strikes, air strikes and Operation Sindoor.”
Shah stressed that while Uttarakhand border villages were left uncared for by the successive Congress regimes declaring them as the tail end of the country, the BJP led central governments have made them more secure and safe.
“Uttarakhand was cut off from basic facilities for fear of enemies. Border areas were left at the mercy of the gods, assuming them as the last villages of the country. The Modi government on the other hand made our border villages the first line of rural India. Vibrant village scheme was prepared and launched in 51 villages here. It ensured that youths are now returning to their native place” said Amit Shah.
Shah claimed that Congress governments never tried to stop terrorism in the country but the Modi regime has put a halt on it.
Talking about the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls (SIR) controversy raised by Rahul Gandhi and other opposition parties, Amit Shah stated that Rahul’s ‘Save vote Yatra (March)’ was not for protecting voters but was for saving infiltrators by the Congress party.
“Rahul Gandhi’s march was not ‘Save Vote Yatra’ but it was a ‘save infiltrators yatra’. People of Devbhumi must tell me if electoral rolls should be kept free of infiltrators or not. Can't every infiltrator be removed from Devbhumi and the country. Rahulji, your lying narrative will not be consumed by the people of India” said Amit Shah.
Home Minister Shah further alleged that the Congress party has not been able to give up its politics of appeasement.
He said the Congress came up with a proposal for leave in Uttarakhand for Friday’s Namaz and opposed construction of the Ram Temple. “They gave shelter to the infiltrators and were planning demographic changes in the state but the BJP has dismantled them all.”
Amit Shah Charged that Congress governments in Uttarakhand were involved in several scams but the BJP governments have ensured every single penny reaches the needy people of Devbhumi.
