AP: False information being spread on social media on local body elections: SEC

Vijayawada, Sep 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner (SEC) Chandra Punetha has said that false information on the conduct of local body elections is being spread on social media and clarified that internal arrangements are being made to conduct local body elections.

In a statement here on Tuesday, the SEC said that false and unauthenticated information is being circulated through social media and other communication platforms stating that another two months would be required for announcing the election scheduled for the local bodies.
