No question of privatising Polytechnic Colleges: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, Sep 11 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday categorically ruled out any move to privatise government polytechnic colleges and accused some political parties of spreading false propaganda and creating apprehensions among students.
Participating in a short discussion on education in the Assembly, Revanth Reddy said polytechnic colleges would continue under government control and that the decision was only aimed at bringing them under the Young India Skill University and aligning technical education with industrial requirements.
He said the government was planning to modernise courses and facilities in polytechnics, with a focus on emerging sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, electric vehicles and advanced manufacturing. The move would provide students greater opportunities for internships, apprenticeships and practical training in collaboration with industries, he said.
