Acid test for Vijay as stage set for polling in Madurantakam, Dharapuram Assembly bypolls tomorrow

Chennai, Oct 5 (UNI) The nearly five-month-old nascent TVK government headed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay faces one of the sternest tests, as the stage is set for voting in the bypolls to Madurantakam and Dharapuram Reserved Assembly seats tomorrow, which was seen as a barometer for the new regime.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) and the police have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure a free and fair elections that would witness a tough five-cornered contest, and all basic amenities were put in place for the voters, like ramps and wheel chairs for the elderly and differently-abled people, drinking water and toilets in all the booths.
Polling would begin at 0700 hrs in 605 booths on Tuesday morning and would continue till 1800 hrs in the evening and the counting would take place on October nine. A total of 285 polling stations have been established in Madurantakam, voting would take place in
