AP: Cordon & search operation to crackdown on drug consumption, anti-socials

Tirupati, Oct 6 (UNI) The police conducted a cordon and search operation at Nandi Mangalam village in the Puttur sub-division on Tuesday as part of efforts to check consumption of drugs and anti-social activities.
The police seized 67 two-wheelers and two auto rickshaws as the so-called owners failed to produce relevant documents. The police got 25 people tested for suspected drug consumption.
The police warned the villages of stringent action if they were indulged in transporting or selling drugs. The police also advised the parents to keep a watch on their children. The villagers were asked to inform the police by dialing 112 about drug consumption or selling.
The cordon and search operations at the vulnerable villages would continue
