PCDA Bengaluru to hold outreach programme for defence pensioners

Bengaluru, Oct 22 (UNI) The Office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA), Bengaluru, will organise a two-day SPARSH outreach programme on November 4 and 5 to help defence pensioners and family pensioners resolve pension-related grievances and submit Digital Life Certificates (DLCs).
The programme, being conducted under the aegis of the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Ministry of Defence, is part of the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5.0, which will continue throughout November.
The outreach programme will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Hall of PCDA Bengaluru, 107, Lower Agaram Road, Bengaluru.
According to an official release, dedicated teams will assist pensioners in identifying and resolving issues related to the System for Pension Administration (Raksha) — SPARSH — and facilitate the submission of Digital Life Certificates at the venue.
The initiative aims to provide pensioners with direct access to officials for grievance redressal, enable on-the-spot assistance and reduce the need for repeated visits to government offices.
Pensioners unable to attend the outreach programme can submit their Digital Life Certificates at SPARSH Service Centres during the month-long campaign, the release said.
Defence pensioners and family pensioners attending the programme have been advised to carry their original pension book or discharge book, ex-servicemen identity card, bank passbook, Pension Payment Order (PPO), Aadhaar card, the mobile phone linked to Aadhaar, PAN card and documents relating to previous grievances.
The Aadhaar-linked mobile phone will be required for biometric or OTP authentication during the generation of Digital Life Certificates.
For assistance and further information, pensioners can contact the helpline or WhatsApp support number 8147527246.
The initiative underscores PCDA Bengaluru's commitment to improving pension services and ensuring timely assistance to defence pensioners and their families, the release added.
