Over 45.54 lakh electors found eligible for final publication under Telangana SIR

Hyderabad, Sep 28 (UNI) As many as 45,54,236 electors have been found eligible for inclusion in the final publication of electoral rolls in Telangana following hearings under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, according to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Telangana C Sudharsan Reddy.
As of September 28, notices were required to be generated for 92,88,181 electors, of which 92,88,180 notices had been generated. Of these, 87,85,739 notices were delivered, while 5,02,441 notices were pending delivery.
The CEO said 58,97,432 hearings had been conducted as part of the disposal of notices, claims and objections relating to logical discrepancies and no-mapping cases.
Following the hearings, 45,54,236 electors were found eligible for inclusion in the final publication of the electoral rolls.
