Telangana Gov to launch plantation of 35,000 cashew saplings along national highway

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will visit Medak district on Tuesday and launch a plantation drive to plant 35,000 cashew saplings along NH-765DG between Ramayampet and Siddipet.
The initiative, taken up under the aegis of Medak MP Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao, aims to utilise available land along the highway, increase green cover and promote environmental sustainability.
It has been described as the first large-scale cashew plantation initiative of its kind along a national highway in the country.
