AP: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant DGM donates O-negative blood for 59th time

Visakhapatnam, Oct 4 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) Deputy General Manager (DGM) Karri Srinivas donated O-negative blood for the 59th time at KIMS Hospital, Sheelanagar here, in response to an emergency requirement, according to Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi here on Sunday.
Srinivas donated blood to 49-year-old Md Khammar of Vizianagaram, who was undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment and severe anaemia, with a haemoglobin level of 5.4, the Samithi said.
The voluntary blood donor was inspired by the message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, "Love All, Serve All" and "Help Ever, Hurt Never", and has continued to donate blood as part of his commitment to community service.
