BJP urges Zameer to address internal threats first

Bengaluru, May 6 (UNI) BJP MLC CT Ravi on Tuesday sharply criticised Karnataka Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan for his recent comments about confronting Pakistan, urging him to first address the "internal enemies" within the state who allegedly raise pro-Pakistan slogans.
"If Zameer Ahmed Khan wants to fight, he should first take on internal enemies. The individuals who raised 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans in the Vidhana Soudha were not Pakistanis, but people from our own land," Ravi told reporters here.
"He should focus on fighting against such elements and infiltrators. As for confronting Pakistan, our military has the strength to handle that," Ravi added.
Zameer had made controversial remarks, stating that, if authorised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, he would be willing to travel to Pakistan with a suicide bomb to retaliate against the perpetrators of the recent terror attack.
The Minister’s statement has sparked a fresh debate, particularly as it veers away from the position of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has called for restraint and diplomatic solutions over military action in response to Pakistan’s provocations. UNI BDN SSP
