Judge’s son, fatal crash, missing photos: Victim’s family demands answers in Kerala

Kochi, Oct 27 (UNI) The family of Jayabalakrishnan, who was killed in a road accident at Cheranalloor allegedly involving a car driven by a 17-year-old boy, has demanded the suspension of the Additional District Judge whose minor son was allegedly driving the vehicle, cancellation of the teenager’s bail and action against police personnel over the alleged deletion of photographs from a mobile phone inside a police station.
The victim’s daughter, Bhadra Keerthi, alleged that the family’s mobile phone was forcibly taken away and handed over to a friend of the judge’s family, who allegedly deleted photographs of the teenager. She questioned how such an incident could have occurred inside a police station and demanded a comprehensive investigation into the role of those involved.
The family has warned that it would intensify its agitation if the authorities failed to take satisfactory action within the deadline of 4 pm. The protest was temporarily suspended following an assurance from Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala that ADGP P. Vijayan, who is in charge of law and order, would reach Kochi and hold discussions with the family.
