Awareness prog on Disease Management in Mulberry, Quality Cocoon Production held

Chennai, Sep 8 (UNI) Under the National Sericulture Technology Transfer Campaign of 'Mera Resham Mera Abhiman 2.0', the Central Sericultural Germplasm Resources Centre (CSGRC), Hosur, a unit of Central Silk Board, union Ministry of Textiles, organized an awareness programme for sericulture farmers on "Disease Management in Mulberry and Quality Cocoon Production" at Technical Service Centre (TSC), Rasipuram, Masakalipatti, Namakkal Districton on Monday.
A PIB release said the programme was led by Dr. Hridya H., Scientist-C, CSB-CSGRC, Hosur, Dr. Selvaraj, Scientist-C, NSSO-SSPC, Dharmapuri and Dr. Abhilash P.L., Scientist-C, SSPC, Hosur and who briefed in detail on identification and integrated management of major mulberry diseases and scientific practices for production of quality cocoons.
The programme was coordinated by officials of TSC, Rasipuram including Ms.Jayakodi, Assistant Inspector of Sericulture, Kannan, Junior Inspector of Sericulture, Ms Parveen, Junior Inspector of Sericulture, Ms. Jayalakshmi and Veeramani.
