Miss World contestants visit Telangana Secretariat, pay tribute to Telangana Thalli

Hyderabad, May 18 (UNI) The grandeur of the Telangana State Secretariat became the backdrop for a memorable visit by Miss World 2025 contestants on Sunday evening, as part of their ongoing tour during the 72nd Miss World Festival.
Representatives from over 10 countries, including Miss India Nandini Gupta, paid floral tribute at the iconic statue of Telangana Thalli while the state anthem 'Jaya Jayahe Telangana' played in the background, creating a moment of pride and celebration.
The contestants were visibly awestruck by the impressive scale and architectural splendour of the Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. Many took selfies in front of the building and the Telangana Thalli statue, capturing the occasion with excitement and admiration.
In a spontaneous gesture, the contestants chanted slogans like 'Telangana Jaroor Aana' (Must Visit Telangana), echoing their appreciation for the state's hospitality and vibrant culture.
The event also included a moment of solemn reflection as contestants, ministers, and officials observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the recent Patabasti Gulzar House fire accident.
