BRS accuses BJP of protecting corrupt Congress leaders in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) The main opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana on Saturday accused the BJP of protecting corrupt Congress leaders in Telangana due to ‘secret political deals’.
“Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is shielding BJP MPs involved in land scams, while BJP is returning the favor by staying silent on his corruption,” BRS Working President K T Rama Rao alleged in a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here.
Citing the example of former Karnataka CM Yediyurappa, who resigned after housing scam allegations, KTR questioned why the same standards don’t apply to Revanth.
“Several union Ministers have resigned in the past over corruption allegations, and Why not Revanth”, he questioned.
KTR highlighted several alleged scams ( Amrit tenders scam, Valmiki scam, and Civil Supplies, besides land fraud at HCU) under Revanth’s regime that have seen no action from central agencies.
KTR slammed Rahul Gandhi for not questioning Revanth Reddy despite his nationwide campaigns on saving democracy. “Why is he silent on corruption in his party?”, he questioned.
Questioning the Telangana BJP’s silence on Revanth’s alleged involvement in the same Young Indian case that Karnataka BJP attacks D.K. Shivakumar for, KTR said “Is this silence the price for their secret understanding?” he asked.
“Revanth Reddy is not a Chief Minister by mandate — he’s a CM made of moneybags,” KTR quipped, alleging that the Congress leader has continued the practice of “buying” power through illicit funding channels.
“Even the ED has admitted that cash collected from builders and middlemen was routed to Congress publications and election campaigns,” he added.
KTR accused Revanth of striking secret deals with both BJP and Congress bosses, stating: “Rahul Gandhi may be his official boss, but Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are his unofficial masters.”
KTR also raised the issue of ED raids on Congress Minister ( Revenue and I & PR ) Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s home nearly a year ago.
“Despite visuals showing money-counting machines being used, there hasn’t been a single statement from either side,” he said.
“We will soon approach Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and request prosecution of Revanth Reddy,” KTR declared, warning that if the Centre fails to act, the BRS will launch a statewide agitation and expose the BJP-Congress collusion.
He reminded that the Supreme Court has already ruled out the need for a CBI probe into the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, rejecting corruption allegations.
“The people of Telangana must now recognize the true face of this Congress regime — a demonic force led by Revanth Reddy,” KTR said.
He affirmed that BRS will continue its fight to expose the rot.
