Apple's plan to make iPhone in India shows global confidence in us: BJP

Thiruvananthapuram, May 23 (UNI) Apple’s decision to expand iPhone manufacturing in India despite challenges shows the growing global confidence in India's manufacturing ecosystem, Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Friday.
Praising forward-thinking policies like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and sustained efforts by the Indian Government, he said India is fast becoming a global hub for high-tech manufacturing.
"Just a decade ago, over 80% of smartphones in India were imported, and smartphone exports were negligible,"
