AP: Central trade unions reiterate demand for Rs.26,000 minimum wage

Kakinada, June 30 (UNI) The central trade unions at their joint meeting at Valasapakala here today have reiterated their demand for payment of Rs.26,000 as the minimum wage for workers.
They were also firm on their demand for scrapping four labour codes that are anti-labour.
CITU Kakinada rural mandal secretary T. Raja who presided, has stressed the need for joining the Nationwide strike scheduled for July 9.
IFTU state vice president J Venkateswerlu, CITU district secretary K Sathiraju, AIFTUC district leader G Adinarayana, ITU leader Chinthapalli Ajaykumar ,in their address, have alleged that "Prime Minister Modi was sub serving the interests of the Corporates as such brought the four labour codes to convert the workers as the slaves of the employers".
They made it clear that the labour acts enacted either prior or post independence were achieved by thousands of people sacrificing their lives but not by any body’s charity.
They further alleged that Prime Minister Modi was "making use of every situation either Covid pandemic, or terrorist activities for implementing the religious fanaticism agenda and to satisfy the corporate forces".
They called upon the people, especially the working class, to exhibit their strength against the anti-workers, anti-farmers and anti-peoples policies by joining the July 9 nationwide strike.
CITU leaders Satyanarayana, Srihari, Balaram ,Trimurthulu, Pensioners union district leaders Visweswerarao, IFTU leader R. Raghavulu were among those attended.

About 3 18L files pending for decisions in Kerala Secretariat: Rajeev Chandrasekhar
