TTD adopting tech advancements for devotee services

Tirumala, May 24 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), managing the world famous Venkateswara Swamy temple, is implementing more transparent and efficient technological services with a noble intention to provide enhanced services to the devotees, said TTD Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao.
Addressing media after Dial your EO at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Saturday, Rao said under the instructions of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, several Technological reforms were introduced by TTD in the recent times and these tech upgrades includes the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Facility Monitoring Systems, WhatsApp Governance, Aadhaar integration, kiosk-based services, and a partnership with Google to enhance transparency and efficiency.
A WhatsApp-based feedback system has also been introduced to collect real-time suggestions from devotees, he maintained.
The other points he briefed the media on included old accommodation facilities to be modernised and reconstructed, and quality control labs that were established to ensure high food standards.
Elaborating further, he said, the Srivari Seva voluntary system will be refined soon, and as a part of it Group Leader (Group Supervisor) system is being introduced to improve the efficiency of volunteer services.
Plans are in place to involve professionals from various sectors to enhance Seva quality, he informed.
TTD is also contemplating inviting NRI devotees to participate in Srivari Seva, and new initiatives like “Go Seva” (cow service) are also underway, he said.
The sacred Tirunamam service has been reintroduced at 18 locations in Tirumala.
The town planning department has also been established as part of the TTD Master Plan, however in the first phase, development work will be undertaken at temples in locations such as Tiruchanoor, Amaravati, and Vontimitta, said the EO.
Out of 45 rest houses in Tirumala, 42 have been renamed with spiritually significant names so far, he said, adding that a complete overhaul in its services, including darshan, accommodation, and prasadam distribution, has been implemented in the last 11 months in the larger interests of the devotees.
An action plan is also underway to increase the Forest cover in Tirumala from the existing 68 to 80 per cent, he said.
Following a decision made in 2014, TTD is planning to construct temples in the remaining states and union territories of India, and as a part of the policy implementation, 29 non-Hindu employees in TTD, the board has resolved to give voluntary retirement, he said.
Renowned agencies will manage major canteens and the Janata canteens to improve food quality, he added.
He mentioned that extensive facilities have been arranged at Tirumala and local temples to accommodate the summer crowd.
TTD Additional EO Ch.Venkaiah Chowdary and other officials also participated in the programme.
