Depression over West Central to intensify further, cross North Andhra-South Odisha coasts

Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) The Depression over the West Central Bay would intensify further into a Deep Depression over the same area, further move West-Northestwards and cross the South Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur late tomorrow night or during the early hours of September 24.
In an update, Met office said yesterday’s Well-marked Low Pressure area over Eastcentral and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal moved Northwestwards, concentrated into a Depression and lay centered over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal.
It further moved westwards and lay centered at 0830 hrs of today, over the same region about 200 km southeast of Gopalpur (Odisha), 200 km east-southeast of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), 210 km south of Puri (Odisha), and 290 km east of Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a Deep Depression over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 12 hours (by tonight).
