Low Pressure over Eastcentral bay becomes Well Marked, to intensify as Depression and Deep depression

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) The Low Pressure area over the Eastcentral bay has become Well Marked on Monday and would intensify into
a Depression and further concentrate into a Deep Depression.
Met office in an update said the Well marked Low Pressure area over Eastcentral and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards and lay centred over Westcentral and adjoining Eastcetral Bay of Bengal at 0830 hrs of today.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hrs and into a Deep Depression over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 24 hrs.
It would continue to move west-northwestwards and is very likely to reach near North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts around September 23 morning.
Meanwhile, several districts of Tamil Nadu received heavy rains since last evening with Periyanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore district recording the highest of 21 cm of rain during the last 24 hrs ending at 0830 hrs this monring.
